Building the Future of Health

June 1 10:00-11:30

KPMG workshop: are hospitals like obsolete department stores?

And Will the Elderly be Shopping for Care Online?

Changes are necessary in the Dutch care system. Merging hospitals is no longer sufficient when it comes to the future of healthcare. The future calls for innovative partnerships, taking the healthcare continuum into account. The writing on the wall is evident in both the Netherlands as well abroad. During this session, Anna van Poucke and Karina Kuperus will discuss the Dutch healthcare transformation. We will turn away from the hospital as the primary caretaker and consider the ageing citizen as a consumer in charge of his/her own care. We will paint a picture of the future care landscape and discuss the repercussions for stakeholders as well as citizens. Prepare for an interactive journey to the future care landscape.
