RIVM Session: The impact of our physical environment on our health
The space, in which we live and work, is prone to a broad range of physical and environmental factors that influence our health in positive and negative ways. Some of these factors we can see and hear clearly. Think about trees and noise, others are less obvious, like air pollution. How can we measure the effects of these influences on our health? What kind of attention have we paid to these things in the past years? In what way does the spatial design influence these factors? In this session, you will hear researchers and designers speak about theoretical research and knowledge from the field. The sessions will be concluded with a discussion about the question: how do we create healthy environments where we take into account these factors or maximize their benefit.
