This presentation will describe how the Age Friendly Cities and Counties are creating the opportunities to establish a broad range of housing options and built environments which suit all needs and enable older people to stay independent for as long as possible. Local knowledge is now leading to the development of many practical, albeit innovative activities, solutions and outcomes that can advance Ireland’s ‘age friendliness’. By collectively committing to contribute towards a European wide exchange of successful experiences and replicable models we will all be better placed to support the development of many practical, albeit innovative activities, solutions and outcomes which can advance Ireland’s ‘age friendliness’.
