Marcus is a good communicator, experienced in bridging the academic and practitioner divide. He has a history of leading and managing multi-disciplinary processes and teams. Working with the World Health Organisation for over 15 years on their Healthy Cities Programme across Europe, he has developed theoretical and practical tools for engaging a wide audience with design for health, healthy urban planning and health appraisal in city development. He has been invited to deliver keynote presentations at a number of conferences in his field including the Academy of Urbanism 2014, Liveable Cities 2015 and at COP21 in Paris 2015.
